How we are paid
Bond Finance Ltd and Bond Wealth Ltd
We can be paid on a fee basis which is calculated by an estimate of the hours needed to carry out the work required or on a commission basis when we are paid by the insurance company/investment house or lending institution based on the product selected, the level of premium or the size of mortgage loan given. In certain circumstances it can make more sense for us to work using a combination of fees and commission.
For example, currently our standard fee for arranging a straightforward residential mortgage is £295 and the lender will pay us a comission. However for more complex cases or commercial mortgages we may charge a larger fee which will be a percentage of the loan amount. In most cases this larger fee is capped at 1% of the loan amount. If we are also paid a commission from the lender this may be sufficient to off-set all or part of the fee payable by you. This will be discussed and confirmed to you in advance of any commitment on your part.
Depending on the work we carry out for you it may be more appropriate and you may feel more comfortable with paying a fee or in other circumstances prefer that we are paid by commission.
When we receive an enquiry our first goal is to establish whether we are able to assist you with your needs and objectives and second to discuss how we would be paid for our services should we be instructed to proceed. There is no charge for this preliminary meeting and no obligation on either side.
We will always tell you about any commission we earn and it will be taken into account in working out any fees charged.
